In THE SPOTLIGHT this time is The post-mortem of NSHR/RDP failure

Just before the 2009 Presidential and National Assembly Elections, the Really for the Disappointed People (RDP) together with their affiliated Phil yaNangolo’s NSHR announced that they have a database of members totaling 390,000 and with it they were going to form a new government. Phil yaNangolo who is haunted by the demons of mass graves in Angola became a witchdoctor predicting the coming of RDP Government. The poor soul wanted so bad to be an observer at the 2009 Elections. The chicken campaigners of NSHR Kaseven and Mvula were hallucinating on NBC national radio that “comsh 2010 nghidipo willibi President of Namibia….wait and you will shee”!

Meanwhile, 2010 came and “nghidipo” is a political scrapyard only 90,000 former members of CoD, DTA, NUDO, UDF and RP voted for them while over 600,000 people voted for SWAPO Party out of over 800,000 eligible voters. The other day, at a house formerly belonging to Kalahari Holdings which is now RDP Headquarters in Olympia, they met for a postmortem. In attendance were the usual clowns, Hidipo Hamutenya and his gangs of hypnotized followers:

Before the official opening, there was silence, ordered by Hidipo Hamutenya. He wanted to hear himself speak on British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC): “The Election was rigged that is why we lost, intelligence officers were bused in at all verification centres and Sam Nujoma was responsible for producing the Voters’ Roll”, he concluded.

Phil yaNangolo at this point was screaming to say something to the radio, but he was told that the radio is not interactive, “oh I knew that”, he quipped unashamedly.

Opening Prayer by Rev. Festus Naholo: Jesus of Nghidipo and disciples of Phil yaNangolo, I pray, oh yes I pray that you condemn omusati clique and deliver us a coalition government through the courts. Forgive me o’Lord I was not the author of “SWAPO is Unita; Unita is RDP”, you know what I mean, o’Lord, I was not the one who sold the SWAPO radio to DRC, o’Lord, I was not the one who brought emerald stones from Zambia, o’Lord, I was not the one who sold SWAPO properties, o’Lord, I was not the one who gave Hidipo Hamutenya a SWAPO house, o’Lord, my Lord, I am innocent and guilty but take me for innocent, o,Lord, I was not the one who wrote the Press Conference it was Phil yaNangolo who organized, o,Lord, it wasn’t me, o’Lord, I did not leave SWAPO, I was expelled, o,Lord I did not join RDP, but I was forced because I hate Sam Nujoma; hear my prayer o,Lord, my Lord. Now I pray for president Hidipo Hamutenya and prime minister Phil yaNangolo for their dream to be true one of the days even in hell. I pray for our donors in Europe and America, bless them forever and ever, Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen (people were not answering…so he yelled) AMEN!

By the look of it, many were not amused by the confession prayer of Rev. Naholo, there was even a voice which pierced through the silence of prayer mumbling "ya nangolo is also from omusati". Shouts of "swapo hibernator deal with her" interrupted the silence, it turns out, she was a young recruit who had not been paid for her service during elections as promised. She was sent out with insults.

Libolly: (viva hidipo), a subdued response followed with more mumbling. Libolly continues: we found vote rigging, it was Swapo rigs us and we have found it.

A journalist: what happened to the 390,000 database, did Swapo rig it too?

Phil yaNangolo: the Mass graves, mass graves, Sam Nujoma Foundation, Swapo rigging.

Audience: (laughing and amused)…. Sit down

Max Hamata: don’t be disrespectful of Phil yaNangolo, don’t you have manners you…agh…

Journalist: I have question for Max Hamata: why are you not openly RDP, why should you be trusted?

Max Hamata: my friend, don’t tell me that, I am doing more for RDP than all of you combined.

Kamburona: just give us examples Hamata?

Max Hamata: don’t you read Informante, even letters all P.Nakadunga, Mnakapa, R.Gaes, Shapopi Shapopi and many more are from NSHR your affiliated organization to RDP. I also revealed the Mercedes benz for President Pohamba and Dr. Geingob, the Chinese bursaries, Tekogate and many more for the sake of your victory, I mean our victory, at least say thank you to me man….!

Journalist: does it mean Max Hamata is RDP….?

Nyamu: shut up man, why do you think he is here, he is on a mission like some at State House and everywhere, I tell you, read my notes.

Steven Mvula: breaking news (I have very important information): SWAPO is stealing cattle at Omuthiya, it was an ox a big one, stolen and murdered for business of Mme. Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana. This transaction was not free and fair, it was rigged. The police run away from the scene, the ox was dead.

Journalist: Mr. Mvula, for goodness sake, what are you trying to say here….it is confusing.

Steven Mvula: ag you are confused you, how can you say I am confused.

Keynote address preceded by opening remarks by the German Parliamentary candidate

Parliamentary Candidate: zamthing wgent very wlong by now we are won. Millions deutch marks are in water like salt in the sea.

Hidipo Hamutenya: give me that microphone and DJ give me some volume. (singing) SWAPO ooyafika yelilongikida ndjoko youpika, SWAPO eyiteyapo. (the room was so emotional…even hidipo was whipping at this time). And he went on: “For more than 40 years, I have worked to become the President of SWAPO and of the Republic of Namibia. I really did. You people told me that the people are ready to vote for change…..but I am not Barrack Hussein Obama…but Libolly convinced me that people are ready for change…the money we have invested in these elections. I can’t count. Yes, it is true, I attended the conference in Europe, and give feedback to our friends you know, but I was not sick. I am fine. I have promised many people with positions in RDP government now I don’t know what to tell them. I will never ask forgiveness. The High Court was supposed to be in our favour it must, oshili, it must, even the Supreme Court must rule in our favour even just a recount vakwetu, aish! In Okahandja, what happened, we lost again, Christofine Paulus, what happened there? You allow those kids to outsmart you like that…he…he…he..ha..ha..ahha..ha..(laughter became tears for the scrapyard politician…) we must go to court again if we don’t win. I thank you Phil yaNangolo for believing in me when others don’t want me anymore. Thank you for organizing the Press Conference for my Rev. Festus Naholo and Kashume. I thank you all you, I don’t see myself strong enough anymore. I want Libolly Haufiku to succeed me not Jesaya Nyamu. All of you must support this nomination, that is democracy, our democracy…..”

Nyamu: over my dead body, it was me who started this RDP, I am the one who suffered a lot even being in alcohol rehabilitation centres, you are playing Hidipo, withdraw that proposal.

And so on it went with Nyamu and Hidipo nearly beating each other up, it was Steve Bezuidenhout who seemed to save the day. Steve Bezuidenhout: the people of the south and central voted well it is where we got a lot of votes. In Windhoek, Rehoboth, Mariental, Keetmanshoop, Swakopmund and Walvisbay. The rest of the country we were slaughtered by SWAPO, let us accept defeat now. I don’t want my credibility to be tainted any longer. This thing of being bad loosers is enough.

Agnes Limbo: it is true what Bezuidenhout is saying. My people in Sibinda delivered victory for RDP it was one thousand something, but in Ohangwena where Hidipo Hamutenya, Libolly Haufiku, Kandi Nehova, Erastus Hendjala and others come from we were slaughtered it is true. Even Jesaya Nyamu was rejected in Oshikoto, all our plans for bussing people from one rally to another has failed badly.

Hubschle: what is the way forward, I am sick and tired of this nonsense and your stupid remarks.

Kandi Nehova: withdraw that Hubschle, you are racist man.

Kaseven: Uncle Nehova it is not man but woman.

Kandi Nehova: and you Kaseven, are you man or woman

Rev. Naholo: please people let us respect each other. We hate Sam Nujoma and Lucas Pohamba, but let us respect each other. Anyway, what are we going to eat now, how can we survive in parliament, those SWAPO will destroy us.

Jeremiah Nambinga: no one will go to Parliament, we must not go, we must not go.

Libolly Haufiku: what about the cost of the Court, how are we going to pay for it Uncle Hidipo?

Bezuidenhout: our project went wrong, how different are we from CoD which went before us?

Kamburona: DTA was better

Kanime: ECN was much better.

Hidipo Hamutenya: heey, shut up all of you winning people, what is wrong with you, don’t you know that we have eight seats in parliament and at least there was also eight people on the swapo electoral college list who are our hibernators. So don’t loose faith, we are going to be official opposition, it is something.

Phil yaNangolo: the judges are unfair, how can they judge like that, we must just sue the judges, that is all. And change of tactics is necessary, I form a NEKA of in xile Namibia, ho..hoo…ho..these are children in Namibia by heroes and heroines like myself.

Journalist: now I don’t know what to report from this meeting. Nambinga says there is no going to parliament, hidipo says there is, which is it. Ya Nangolo is talking about this and that jumping like a Kangaroo on all points.

Hubschle: report whatever makes us look better.

The post-mortem ended in chaos with accusations and counter accusations. Imagine this lot forming an RDP government in their lifetime….!
