THE SPOTLIGHT this time is Mr Phil ya Nangolo, pictured on the left. Mr Ya Nangolo in his new life is a so-called human right activist. In his natural being as Philemon Ipumbu, he was a freedom fighter who, through SWAPO of Namibia was awarded a scholarship to the then Soviet Union. The biggest question to all those who knew him is: how did he manage to escape from the Soviet Union to the United States of America? Hed do us service if he could help us understand the following:
How did he manage to go to America from the Soviet Union?
Who assisted him?
At what time did he decide to change his name?
What made him change his name?
It is said that ya Nangolo returned to Namibia shortly before amnesty was granted for the return of the exiles. What did he tell the South African authorities as all those who left the country illegally were considered terrorists who belonged in jail?
The new Mr. ya Nangolo who is so different from Mr Philemon Ipumbu is an ardent anti-SWAPO and anti-Nujoma propagandist.
Do you believe his mission in life is human rights advocacy? Tell us what you know or think the mission of Mr. ya Nangolo is.
