In THE SPOTLIGHT Regional and Local Authority elections 2010  SWAPO Party emerged victorious in the just ended Regional and Local Authority elections, with opposition parties suffering heavy defeats especially in all constituencies in Caprivi, Hardap, Kavango, Karas, Omusati, Ohangwena, Oshikoto and Oshana. “These elections were peaceful, fair and transparent,” said one businessman. “There will be a lot of celebrations here. We are happy we have defeated RADOPA. They should never try again. They have been making a lot of noise and provoking us. We have spoken through the ballot.”...
