In THE SPOTLIGHT this time is the Bornfrees’ Supplementary Registration of Voters

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) is conducting a supplementary registration of voters from 17 to 30 September 2009. Unfortunately, this process had a disappointing start. It is hoped that ECN is doing everything to ensure that elections materials will reach all regions of country.

In the meantime, it is worth noting that this particular registration is meant for the born frees namely young people born in a free and independent Namibia. The SWAPO Party and its Government have maintained peace and economic stability. That is why young people who were born at independence on 21st March 1990 are now free to vote and participate in the democratic process of their country.

Our SWAPO Party is the only political party that has the interest of Namibia and its people at heart. Other political projects are only so that so scrap yard politicians can manage to feed their ego and return to Parliament. Once in parliament they will forget the Namibian people completely. Just the other day, one of this political project (RDP’s Hidipo Hamutenya) said it was calling on all its friends in the Media, Churches and Human Rights Organisation to stand together. This means that all along this particular project was working with these “friends” the likes of Briggite Weidlich, Phillemon Kanime, John Grobler aka Jonathan Cobra, Abisai Sheejavali and Phil ya Nangoloh to vilify the Founding President Dr. Sam Nujoma hoping that as the Nyamu Notes shamefully tried to predict in order to arouse public anger against the SWAPO Party.

They have failed and the only thing they are wishing and praying for is how to rig the electoral process so that they may cry foul in the end. Imagine Hidipo Hamutenya even announced that his party has 250,000 members but even he knows this to be a BIG LIE. The RDP has been going around the country like a headless chicken even offering money so that people can join its project. In 1989 others like DTA used that tactics, but the people just went and ate the boerewors but went to vote for SWAPO Party.

In the final analysis, SWAPO Party has delivered tangible things that can be felt, seen, touched and even licked. That is why the born frees will vote for SWAPO Party. The ECN must ensure that the electoral process is clean and credible. This is all we ask!
