Cuba assisted Africa

By Etuna Josua - Windhoek
Cubans saved countless lives of not only Namibians (including at Cassinga), but also Angolans, Ethiopians, Algerians and Guineans. Africans owe them gratitude. In 1975 and 1987, when the minority racists colonial regime in South Africa was about to capture all of Southern Africa, the Cubans traveled thousands of miles across the Atlantic to come and fight side by side with Namibians and Angolans.

Leaders of so called west African powerhouse Nigeria were too busy looting oil wealth from their citizens rather than coming to the aid of their brothers in Southern Africa.
