Anuwa? - Part 52

By M'kwanailya wa Mweuta
In the aftermath of the cooked and overcooked pots, decampaign and campaigns, anuwa the current SWAPO anthem was declared obsolete. The young Turks hastily compiled one which is currently being promoted in all jukeboxes country wide.

Anuwa it was compiled in a rush and both the author and the composer ignored the copyright protocols.

Anuwa theirconcerns are to avoid tashiliekunde episode. Those who heard the new anthem playing, said it was a copy and paste exercise, an allegation which was dismissed with the contempt it deserves. The authors insist it was their innovation, anuwa very authentic and original.

Herewith exclusively for our readers 'preview.

Let us all unite and celebrate together
The victories won for our liberation and at the recent
concluded parliamentarian candidates elections
Let us dedicate ourselves to rise together
To defend our liberty and unity

O Sons and Daughters of SWAPO
Flesh of the Sun and Flesh of the Sky
Let us make SWAPO the Tree of Life

Let us all unite and sing together
To uphold the bonds that frame our destiny
Let us dedicate ourselves to fight together
For lasting peace and justice in SWAPO

Let us all unite and toil together
To give the best we have to SWAPO
The cradle of mankind and fount of culture
Our pride and hope at break of dawn.

On the question why the "Alert Namibia" was discarded the authors said anuwa its objectives were achieved and lyrics such as "We shall liberate, Namibia Our country" do not speak to those left behind by the POT. They need to be encouraged to "make SWAPO the tree of life" and supported with words such as "SWAPO our pride and hope at break and dawn".
